EXPLORE TURKİYE TRAVEL
Welcome
My name is Benjamin van Rensburg and I am the director of Explore Turkiye Travel. I first moved to Turkiye in 1993 and was immediately interested to explore this fascinating land with its rich culture, history, ancient monuments and spectacular natural beauty. Over the years I have organized and led numerous tours in Turkiye and every time the country provides the most amazing experience to travellers keen to explore this ancient land. As a lecturer and pastor, who served for 14 years in an international church in Istanbul, it has been an enriching experience to explore the biblical sites and to deepen my understanding of the life of the early Christians in Greco-Roman society.
We specialise in providing customised itineraries for private and church groups and invite you to journey with us through this incredible land.
EXPLORE with a customised tour
We would like to give you the opportunity to explore this country with an itinerary carefully designed for your group so that you can get the most out of your trip. We have also learned that Turkiye often surprises you and we are happy to enjoy experiences that come along the way. On one tour I was leading in Eastern Turkiye, we were invited by a local merchant to join a wedding and experienced the joy of Turkish dancing in traditional dress!

EXPLORE biblical sites and early church history
Turkiye provides great opportunities to visit the biblical sites and learn about the church in the early centuries and the development of Eastern Christianity. In Cappadocia, for example, the three Cappadocian Fathers established monasteries in the fourth century and their theological contributions still impact the church today.

EXPLORE in ways that benefit the community
Tourism can play a significant role in contributing to the economy of a country. Whenever possible we prefer to support small local businesses and choose traditional restaurants where local people eat. On occasion we may also enjoy a picnic or a meal in the home of a Turkish family. Some of our tours will take us off the beaten track and we hope that our presence, also in these more remote parts of Turkiye, will be of benefit to the local communities.
